Cricket Loam

Binder’s reputation has been built on our consistent, easy to use, quality cricket loam. These are offered in a range to suit every situation from the traditional village green to the top test and county grounds.

The performance of a cricket dressing is dependant upon many factors but the ultimate aim is to produce a hard surface that will grow healthy grass and not break up during play. This is achieved by selecting loams of sufficient clay content supplied with the nutrients present in naturally occurring loam. In other words we describe our cricket loam as “the nearest thing to concrete that will grow grass.”

ONGAR LOAM™ and ONGAR LOAM™ Plus have been used to construct test wickets at The Oval, Lords, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge, the Riverside, Cardiff and Headingly as well as county wickets at Bristol, Taunton, Canterbury, Chelmsford, Northampton and Scarborough

We are proactive in the quality control with our cricket loam and ensure a regular PSD (particle size distribution) test is carried out. Please contact us for our latest certificate.
